Position Summary
The Fleet Technical Sales Manager is responsible for developing and executing DHOLLANDIA's fleet sales strategy while managing relationships with national fleet customers, OEMs, dealers, distributors, and aftermarket partners. This individual serves as the primary point of contact for assigned fleet accounts, identifies new business opportunities, and collaborates across the organization to deliver innovative solutions that create long-term customer value.
The ideal candidate combines strategic sales expertise with technical knowledge of commercial vehicle equipment and is energized by building relationships that drive sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to expand DHOLLANDIA's presence within the fleet and carrier marketplace.
- Identify, qualify, and develop new national fleet business opportunities while growing existing customer relationships.
- Serve as the trusted advisor and primary contact for assigned fleet customers.
- Coordinate customer activities among fleet organizations, OEMs, dealers, distributors, aftermarket suppliers, and internal DHOLLANDIA teams to ensure exceptional customer service and successful project execution.
- Partner with the Vice President of Sales and Operations to establish sales objectives, identify market opportunities, and support long-term business growth initiatives.
- Represent DHOLLANDIA at industry conferences, trade shows, and association meetings, including ATA, TMC, and other commercial vehicle organizations.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, customer needs, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for growth and product development.
- Provide customer feedback and market intelligence that supports product enhancements, pricing strategies, and new product initiatives.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, customer activity reports, and account plans using company CRM tools.
- Consistently achieve or exceed established sales goals while delivering an outstanding customer experience.
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate is a relationship builder, strategic thinker, and technical problem solver who enjoys working directly with customers and influencing business outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three to five years of successful sales experience within the transportation, trucking, commercial vehicle, trailer, body equipment, or fleet industry.
- Experience working with fleet customers, OEMs, upfitters, distributors, or truck equipment manufacturers.
- Strong understanding of commercial vehicle systems and equipment. Experience with liftgates, hydraulics, truck bodies, trailers, fabrication, or related equipment is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and consultative selling skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex sales opportunities from prospecting through implementation.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to develop executive-level customer relationships.
- Self-motivated, highly organized, and comfortable working independently from a home office.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.
- Ability to travel extensively throughout North America.
