Tech Talk With TMC Celebrates 20th Anniversary,
1,000th Broadcast with RadioNemo
WASHINGTON, D.C., August 6 -- August marks the 20th anniversary of "Tech Talk with TMC," produced jointly by the American Trucking Associations' Technology & Maintenance Council and long-time trucking radio personality Dave Nemo. "Tech Talk with TMC" has been a weekly segment on trucking radio's The Dave Nemo Show and now Road Gang Radio since June 2005. The August 6th episode will mark the segment’s 1,000th broadcast.
Each week, TMC representatives appear on RadioNemo’s Road Gang Radio, covering a range of technical issues of high interest to the trucking industry. From June 2005 to May 2025, the segment was heard on SiriusXM Channel 146. Beginning June 2, RadioNemo started streaming live 24 hours a day at RadioNemo.com. The 1,000th / 20th Anniversary episode will be broadcast live on Wednesday, August 6 at 9:05 am (eastern). Segment guest will be Darry Start, DWS Fleet Management with the topic being general maintenance issues.
TMC Executive Director Robert Braswell appears on the program each week, along with a veteran TMC member covering issues involving maintenance, inspection and specification of brakes, on-board vehicle electronics and electrical systems, engines, seating, tires and wheels, trailers, transmissions, chassis and suspensions.
"We're thrilled to be able to present vital information from these experts to our trucking audience," Nemo said. "Over the past 20 years, response to TMC's presence on the show has been overwhelmingly positive and it's great to have the members on the air on a weekly basis covering everything from the shiny side to the rubber side and everything in between. I'm also very glad to see listeners take advantage of the special Owner Operator membership category. With input from these seasoned professionals and TMC's vast pool of knowledge, it's a real winning combination."
TMC members make up the industry's foremost experts when it comes to on- and off-board truck technology, and the Council shares its collective experience and knowledge with listeners. "We think it has been and continues to be a great opportunity to reach a segment of the industry that may not previously have been exposed to TMC and to hear from the folks who literally 'wrote the book' on heavy vehicle equipment and systems maintenance and application," said Braswell.
Tech Talk With TMC is broadcast live every Wednesday at 9 am eastern / 8 am central.
