TECHNICIAN ONBOARDING SURVEY RESULTS

The Technology & Maintenance Council’s (TMC) S.5 Fleet Maintenance Management Study Group conducted an online survey of approximately 500 TMC Fleet Executive level members and 100 Service Provider Corporate level members in the second quarter of 2024. The results of this survey will be presented by S.5 at TMC’s 2024 Fall Meeting in Raleigh, N.C., as the basis for discussion by a panel of experts.

Of the members surveyed, 23 company representatives responded. Most respondents were from fleets or service providers. Ten of these were for-hire or private motor carrier representatives; 13 were service provider representatives. The largest portion of the respondents were national scope companies (30 percent) with the largest regions represented being the Midwest (39 percent) and the Northeast (26 percent), with the remainder distributed across other regions.
