This year’s theme is “Advancing Reliability Through Root Cause Analysis” — and will feature TMC’s customary slate of educational sessions, task force meetings, technical sessions and management sessions, in addition the Council’s Transportation and Technology Exhibition trade show showcasing leading-edge technologies for fleet maintenance management. This year’s exhibit features approximately 350 vendors spanning 500,000 square feet.
“For more than 65 years, TMC has worked to raise professional and technical standards for the trucking industry,” said TMC Executive Director Robert Braswell. “This annual meeting is an important part of that – not just to see what is available in the field on the exhibit hall floor – but to have the opportunity to discuss and learn about the latest advances in truck technology in our myriad of task forces and educational sessions. TMC leadership is committed to providing this experience for our members in a safe and responsible way.”
Tuesday’s kickoff breakfast features inspirational speaker Travis Mills, Retired United States Army Staff Sergeant of the 82nd Airborne. Tuesday’s Technical Session #1 features a comprehensive look at “Powertrains of the Future.” Wednesday’s Technical Sessions focus on “Recruiting and Retention of Technicians Through Root Cause Analysis,” and “Does the Industry Need an Open Telematics API?” Thursday’s Technical Session covers “Healthy Cab, Healthy Driver: Technologies That Can Improve the Future of Cab Environments.”
The event also features a static demonstration display by ZF.
“Building on the success of the Council’s 2022 Fall Meeting in Cleveland last September, Council members are excited to gather for our largest event venue, and we’re pleased at the response to our 2023 Annual Meeting agenda,” said TMC General Chairman and Treasurer andy Obermeyer, vice president of safety and maintenance for Online Transport Inc. “We’re all very excited to collaborate in Orlando to help solve the pressing technical issues of the day and view the latest in truck technology.”
