• TMC creates Service Provider Committee

  In 2005, TMC held its first TMCSuperTech National Skills Competition.  More than 70 technicians from all over the U.S. competed for top honors during the inaugural two-day event.

  

• Organization joins the American Trucking Associations's federation

  In 1979, the organization joined the American Trucking Associations' federation as a technical council of ATA and was known at that time as "The Maintenance Council." TMC changed its name in 2001 to the Technology & Maintenance Council to better reflect its evolving mission. 

• Vehicle Maintenance Reporting Standards (VMRS)

  In 1970, the RCCC Maintenance Committee spearheaded the development of the Vehicle Maintenance Reporting Standards, or VMRS.  The fundamental concept of VMRS was to provide a detailed yet standardized information base that included both performance data and cost information.
